Through a strategy of carefully controlled growth, the firm today offers an extremely broad array of legal and legislative services to our clients. We are well established as being among the nation's elite in handling transportation matters. But because of the quality of the firm's work and the demands of an expanding client base, a substantial share of our litigation, transactional, and regulatory work now involves a broad range of industries other than transportation. Consistent with the objective of developing and retaining versatile, complete lawyers, there are no rigidly structured practice group divisions within the firm. New lawyers are encouraged to work in different areas as the clients' needs and the attorneys' interests dictate. Special attention is given to developing the skills of new lawyers through in-house seminars, various legal and industry activities, and formal attention to training on a continuing basis. While practice groups are not formally recognized in the firm, expertise has, of course, developed in certain core practice areas. These areas of law are listed in more detail under the tab "Areas of Practice."
