Galland Kharasch is located in the heart of Georgetown in a building officially designated as a National Historic Landmark. Six-by-twelve inch hardwood ceiling joists are anchored into original red-brick walls beside floor-to-ceiling windows that overlook the historic Chesapeake and Ohio Canal on one side and a European-style courtyard on the other. Bright, broad hallways wind past office space that was once occupied by a former Supreme Court Justice, the inventor of the "Hollerith" machine (an early computer), and a thousand bags of milled oat flour.
	Clients do not select counsel based on the offices they inhabit, but the physical environment says something about the people who work there.
