Brian Heisman is a partner in GKG Law’s Business Aviation and Tax Group. With nearly two decades of experience advising high-net-worth individuals, corporations, and global enterprises, Brian brings deep expertise in the federal, state, and international tax aspects of business aviation and transactional structuring.

Brian advises clients on the tax-efficient acquisition, ownership, and operation of business aircraft, including structure formation, personal use considerations, federal excise tax application, state sales and use tax issues and audit defense. Brian also provides counsel on broader corporate transactions involving domestic and cross-border mergers, acquisitions, integrations, and reorganizations, aligning aviation strategy with business and legal objectives.

Prior to rejoining GKG Law, Brian held senior roles in international M&A tax planning at eBay and at leading global advisory firms where he advised on complex transactional and tax structuring matters. Brian began his legal career at GKG Law as a Business Aviation Tax Associate, advising on FAA and tax regulatory issues.

Brian regularly collaborates with cross-functional teams, external advisors, and institutional clients to navigate intricate tax and legal environments. He is known for delivering technically sound, business-oriented solutions on a wide range of aviation and transactional tax matters.
