International Chapter Compliance

Trade associations and related non-profit organizations may use or wish to adopt a corporate structure that incorporates regional, national, or local chapters across the world.  These structures may implicate various regulations and issues, including regulations for tax-exempt entities, U.S. economic sanctions, export controls, corporate governance, and data privacy, among others.  GKG Law’s Association Practice Group helps organizations assess the risks and feasibility of adopting an international chapter model, implement compliance policies and procedures, and draft agreements and bylaws.
