Hotel and Convention Contracts

Annual conventions and meetings are the lifeblood of many associations.  However, with any large event, there are substantial risks involved.  All agreements related to a trade show need to be carefully drafted to ensure that the association’s liability is limited to the extent possible.  GKG Law’s Association Practice Group assists its nonprofit clients by reviewing, negotiating, and drafting the multitude of trade show related agreements, including hotel agreements, vendor agreements, agreements with convention centers, licensing agreements, publishing agreements, confidentiality agreements, agreements with service providers, sponsorship agreements, and joint venture operating agreements. We limit an association’s liability by negotiating reasonable attrition, cancellation, liability, and indemnification provisions.
